Chavez, si é salvato in extremis affermando che non era in gioco la sua permanenza nel potere né la sua immagine rivoluzionaria e questo aveva svuotato di interesse la campagna elettorale, infine che nella vera democrazia quello che vale non é la quantitá bensí la maggioranza. Argomento che se pur valido legalmente non dá certo la immagine del uomo forte del continente come lui stesso vuole apparire.

Questa volta non ci saranno scuse, nelle prossime elezioni presidenziali ad effettuarsi in Dicembre l'erede di Castro dovrá imporsi alla possibile rinuncia dei partiti democratici oppositori dimostrando che la sua popolaritá continua intatta se non aumentata autodichiarandosi un autentico fenomeno politico esente alla umana decadenza oramai consuetudinaria nella politica.
